Questions

What coaches ask us.

Straight answers on setting up, records, matchmaking, privacy and price. If yours isn't here, email us.

Getting started

Who is FairFightz for?

Fight gyms: Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA, boxing, BJJ, wrestling, judo, karate and taekwondo. It's where a gym runs its fight side: matchmaking, fight offers, interclubs, sparring and results. One membership covers the gym, its owner and up to 3 coaches.

Is it only for the UK?

We're starting in the UK, with other countries to follow. If your gym is somewhere else, email us and we'll tell you when it's ready for you.

Do fighters need an account?

No. Fighters never log in. The gym adds its own fighters, with each fighter's agreement, and keeps their details up to date.

How long does setting up take?

An afternoon. Give us your gym's name and postcode and we fill in the details for you to check. Then add your fighters by pasting a list, uploading a spreadsheet or snapping a photo of your sheet. A show-me-around tour takes you through the rest.

I haven't got time to set it up.

You don't need to. Tell us your gym and we'll set it up for you.

Why do you check gyms before they can join?

So every gym you deal with is a real gym. When you sign up we ask for your address, your website or Instagram and your head coach, and we check them, usually within 48 hours. You can start building your roster while you wait.

Can I see it before I join?

Yes. Try the demo: a fictional gym with fighters, matches and sparring already set up.

Results and records

Where do the records come from?

Fights booked through FairFightz, fight posters, and the results both gyms report. Every bout shows where it came from, and nothing goes on a fighter's record without a coach saying yes.

What does "confirmed" mean?

After a fight, each gym says how it went without seeing the other's answer. The same answer confirms it. Different answers, and we check with the promoter. Until then the result shows as not yet confirmed, so everyone can see.

Do interclubs count?

Yes. Interclub bouts go on the record like any other, and both gyms confirm the result.

Can my members put themselves forward for an interclub?

Yes. Share the interclub's sign-up link, or print the QR poster for the gym wall. Members put their names forward and you tick who goes. Nothing is entered without you.

What happens when a fighter moves gym?

The new gym asks to move them. The old gym has 7 days to object, otherwise the move goes through. The fighter's record goes with them.

A result is wrong. How do I fix it?

Dispute it from your fighter's page: a result, a record or a class flag. We check it, and it shows as disputed until it's sorted.

Matchmaking and safety

Does it decide who fights?

No. Coaches make every call. FairFightz finds the options and puts the facts in front of you: records, experience, weights and recent stoppages. You decide.

How do you stop stitch-ups?

Every fighter's class is checked against their real experience, counted across every combat sport. Someone entered below their experience is flagged, and so is a record that isn't confirmed yet.

What are the safety facts?

Recent stoppage losses, big weight gaps, long layoffs and rematches. They're shown on every match for you to weigh up. They warn you, they never block a fight.

Who can my fighters be matched with?

Fighters from other gyms only, never your own, and never men against women. Matches are ranked on weight, class, real experience and form.

How does sparring work?

Host an open session and approve who comes, join sessions at member gyms within about a 30-minute drive, or ask a nearby gym directly.

What if an opponent pulls out?

Post on Opponents wanted with short notice switched on. Coaches with a fair match at that weight get an alert. If a booked opponent pulls out, it's recorded on the fight.

Fighters and privacy

What about my fighters' details?

Fighters agree to be listed. We don't keep fighters' own phone numbers or email addresses, and for licences and medicals we only store the expiry date, never medical information.

Who can see a fighter's record?

Member gyms. Outside the platform, a fighter's record is only visible through their fight passport, a private link their gym can share, and it shows confirmed results only.

Whose contact details are shared?

Only the one matchmaking contact each gym chooses, and only with gyms that are paid-up members. Never a fighter's.

Can a fighter be removed?

Yes. A fighter, or anyone listed, can ask us to correct or remove their details.

Remove my details
Do you list junior fighters?

Gym rosters are adults only (18+). Juniors (8 to 17) can enter interclubs whose host accepts them, with a parent or guardian's agreement, and are only paired with other juniors close in age.

Membership and price

How much does it cost?

£65 a year per gym, about £1.25 a week. The first 50 gyms approved get their first 6 months free.

See pricing
What's included?

Everything. The owner plus 3 coach logins, every fighter on your roster, matchmaking, fight offers, interclubs, sparring, results and records, fight lists, the calendar and messaging.

How do I pay?

By card, through Stripe's secure page. You can change your card, download invoices or cancel there.

Can I cancel?

Any time. If you're a founding gym, nothing is charged for your first 6 months, and you can cancel before then.

What happens if my membership runs out?

Your fighters and their records stay. Your contact details are hidden from other gyms and the logins stop until you renew. Renewing brings everything back.
